Fun DIY Spring Crafts for April

Farmhouse Style Tire Wreath

What you will need:

Antique Metal Tire

Flowers

Floral Foam

(all supplies may be found at Hobby Lobby)

Step 1. Cut the floral foam to fit inside the tire and hot glue it into place.

Step 2. Deconstruct the floral bouquets. They were wrapped together around the bottom of the stems, so cut off all of the floral tape and separated out all of the individual stems.

Step 3. Group like flowers together so you can see what you have to work with.

Step 4. Place the large flowers first, then fill in around them with the smaller flowers. For this particular arrangement, make sure some pieces are drooped down over the bottom edge of the metal or fiddle with it until you are pleased with the look of the arrangement.

Framed Flower Decor

What you will need:

All sizes of pinecones

Frame

Hot glue gun

Spray paint/paint

Scissors/knife

Instructions:

Just cut the pinecones in half (you can usually get two flowers per pinecone) then either spray paint them or paint each one individually. Take your hot glue gun and stick them randomly all over the frame. SO pretty!

Colander Planter

What you will need:

3 colanders

6 half yards of twine

glue

3 sheets of moss

potting soil

seasonal plants

Instructions:

Wrap one colander handle tightly with a half-yard of twine, pushing pieces together as you go to avoid gaps. Once covered, tie off and add a dab of glue to secure. Knot a yard of twine at each end of the handle. Repeat entire process with opposite handle. Next, line the colander with sheet moss and fill with potting soil and seasonal plants. (We used ferns and pansies.) Tie four lengths of twine together and hang.
